ADDICTED is Lundholms inspiring and entertaining tale of recovery through a laundry list of addictions alcohol, sex, the Internet, drugs, chocolate, coffee revealing the common thread that links them all. He also includes his eye-opening and comic observations on some of lifes milder, yet more common addictions - work, money, sleep, gambling, shopping, and even golf many of which hit close to home for members of the audience. The show, about chances, choices and our relationship to our needs, is loaded with dysfunctional tales from Marks own life, and takes you through his battles and eventual victories.
ADDICTED has enjoyed successful engagements in Minneapolis, Denver, Nashville, Miami, Chicago and Montreal and most recently off-Broadway at the Zipper Theatre in New York City, where it was voted into the top position as the most highly recommended show in New York City by The Wall Street Journals Zagat Theatre Survey.
Mark Lundholm is a performer and playwright who has written and performed in three one-man shows and has starred in his own Showtime comedy special. Lundholms stand-up career had its origins during his rehab days, where he took his darkest moments and transformed them into a comedy act he later took to clubs all around the country. Lundholm later developed his act into a one-man show for the theatre stage. The New York Times says Lundholm has acerbic powers of observation that are quite dark and funny. The Chicago Sun-Times calls Lundholm a terrific performer aggressive, funny and charming.
